Tip #5 - Expand Your Network

The simplest way to double your income is to double your number of sales contacts.

And the most direct route to doubling your number of sales contacts is by expanding your social networks. A social network is a group of people who share something is common. Perhaps they live in the same neighborhood, play on the same softball team, attend the same church, or work at the same company. People are more open to doing business with someone in their social network because of their common bond.

Studies have shown that every group of 100 people will generate about 30 real estate transactions a year. If you have 100 people in your social networks and you are able to capture a third of their business, you'll complete 10 real estate transactions solely from your networks. But if you double your social networks to include 200 people, you should be able to generate 20 annual transactions. 300 people would provide you with 30 transactions, and so on.

So join that that health club, volunteer at the PTA, and get involved in your local chamber of commerce. Hey, you can even join Mona Vie or one of the other network marketing organizations. Even if you don't sell much juice...or soap...or jewelry, you might end up selling a few more houses!
